I know this is such a small thing to a lot of people, but there are many passionate fans in the Need for speed community who hold this car dearly and closely to their heart and would love a legendary car to be done properly. Need for speed most wanted 2005 got the engine sound spot on and I was wondering whether NFS heat would have the exact same engine sound as NFS Most wanted 2005 or NFS carbon? If not, even though I know it’s quite late in game development (I couldn’t have said it or asked any earlier due to only hearing today that the car list was out and realising that the M3 GTR is on it, so I Feel this is a reasonable request), I wanted to kindly ask if EA could use the sound files from most wanted and Carbon and slightly tweak them to make it suitable for this game? As I’m sure you know the M3 GTR has a very significant difference in engine sound to the standard E46 due to the fact that the GTR has a V8 engine whilst the E46 has a V6 engine. The reason why I ask is because in previous need for speed titles such as Most Wanted 2012 and Payback, the re-introduced car looked amazing of course but the engine sound wasn’t quite right. My question is will the M3 GTR in NFS Heat have the proper engine sound that it had in most wanted (2005)? This excited me because as I’m sure with many people, this car is an integral part of my gaming childhood and I’d love to see it in the same glory it was in the original 2005 Need for Speed Most Wanted. So today the car list was introduced for NFS Heat and what got me excited the most was the fact the BMW M3 GTR would be making a return. First and foremost I’d just like to say that I’m a long time need for speed fan but wanted to join these forums to see if an EA developer or someone from EA could answer my question. Finally, the engine is modified to have individual throttle bodies and a new silver engine cover.I hope you’re all well. The large wing is supported by a couple tail pieces found in some older sets. The ground effects have been changed significantly on the side and rear bumper of the car to better reflect the shape of the GTR body kit. The stock quad exhaust was removed and changed to a dual exit located below the passenger door. The rear seat has been "removed" to give it a rear-seat delete kit look. Inside you will find a "carbon" backed racing seat complete with red harnesses, and instead of a passenger seat, two nitrous oxide canisters. The chassis is largely carried over from the coupe version, but in effort to truly make it special, I re-designed the interior and engine to make it unique.

I created the coupe and convertible versions first, and then looks to see if I could figure out how to build the version I "most wanted." Instead of stickers, I used plates to recreate the iconic livery on the sides.

I am currently an owner of an IRL E46 M3 vert, and this Need for Speed M3 GTR is one of the biggest reasons this car was on my radar.
#Bmw need for speed most wanted series
Fans of the game series have recreated this car out of their own M3's just to capture the magic of the video game version. The blue on silver wrap gives is distinctive street racing cred with a fire breathing side exhaust and nitrous oxide injection, making it the halo car of the 2005 video game. Dressed in a wide body kit and sporting a massive rear wing, roll cage and a street racing pedigree, the M3 GTR is the most well known BMW globally. From arguably the most beloved version of Electronic Arts "Need for Speed" video game series, comes the coolest iteration of the the BMW E46: The Need for Speed Most Wanted Edition.
